What is relationship anxiety/ROCD?

A blurry close-up of a bright green leaf.

While many of us will experience anxiety because of interpersonal relationships, those with relationship anxiety and/or disorganized attachment may have anxiety acutely focused on their intimate/romantic partnership. Even when partnered with healthy, emotionally available partners, those with relationship anxiety have a hard time feeling settled and safe in their loving partnerships. In fact, being in healthy, secure partnership may bring up more anxiety for those with relationship anxiety/ROCD, which can feel very confusing, to say the least!

How can I support you?

One of the reasons I specialize in Relationship Anxiety/ROCD is that I too have suffered from it, and know how painful and confusing it can be. I will help you to identify the thoughts and the ‘parts’ of you that may be clinging to unrealistic expectations/ideals, perfectionism, and fears that keep your guard up and prevent you from receiving and offering the love you truly want!
